The do page represents action of knowledge such as designing and evaluating. Students will use their knowledge, their understanding, and try to make something new. So students have to make new ideas and brainstorm on which idea is better. Basically you are creating knowledge from what you already know or finding out what you need to learn to answer your own questions.
To test your knowledge questions will typically be:
- how would you design something
- what solutions would you suggest
- sort the following by priority
- defend your design
To evaluate your abilities to do something typically involve the creating of a project or worksample. Creating something from a multiple choice test is nearly impossible. Creating a web page or slide show is what represents doing. The hard part of giving a student an assignment to create something is to have a scoring rubric that will evaluate if a student has learned from the outcome of the assignment, which is the goal of any class assignment.
So hopefully you have a better understanding of knowing, understanding, and doing.
