In the picture below you can see four types of major storms. Three of the four are common to North America. In the South East you will find hurricanes are the major destructive storm system with storms as large as states that can devestate a community.
|
Thunderstorms are common everywhere in the world with ligtning being a spectacular light display. Tornados are commonly found in region of the U.S. known as tornado alley. Tornado alley provides the ideal conditions for tornados to form as cold Rocky Mountain air meets warm moist air from the Gulf of Mexico. The forth is not found in the United States but is common in Iraq and other desert regions were some of our troops are based around the world.
